Development of JavaScript-based data-driven on-screen sports broadcast overlay solutions for various clients in the esports industry, such as Veritas Entertainment, Team Singularity, Logitech/ASTRO Gaming, MYI Entertainment and more.
The solutions involved hooking into native processees and extracting in-game & competition data through webhook-based data pipelines, then dynamically displaying and updating them in real-time score- and statisticsbased on-screen graphics, not unlike those displayed e.g. in a soccer match, which are controllable and heavily customizable through an intuitive dashboard that supports simultaneous operation from multiple broadcast producers.
The packages also include out-of-game broadcast components, like bracket screens, lower thirds, or statistics overviews that supported on-the-fly complex calculations of arbitrary data through a custom-developed special syntax.
Core design, architectural planning, and initial greenfield set-up in a small team of a web-based user control interface for medical radiation treatment devices spanning mutliple interconnected applications with multiple interconnected backends.
Initial set-up of all backends and developmen tinfrastructure/DevOps for said applications.
Transition of the project into a larger team after the initial set-up period, with an expansion in team size of 3 initially to 10+ towards the end of the contract. Development of highly secure code to interface with industry-standard medical data and hospital management APIs.
Establishment of automated building, testing, code documentation and enforcement of code quality and code convention requirements, as well as the definition of said requirements.
Development of auxiliary troubleshooting tools for on-location application support technicians.
Parallel project work on multiple projects among a core team with a focus on .NET back end development. Establishment of devops pipelines, automated builds and tests, and automated code documentation. Work with product owners to define and map out development goals and feature scopes. Support of and consulting for Junior developers among the team.
Employment contract was mutually terminated upon a traumatic family event befalling me in June 2021, which required me to take more unpaid time off than the company was able to grant me.
Establishment of a new dynamic and data-driven web-based platform on the basis of a desktop-client-based IT infrastructure management and inventory solution.
Work and integration with a vast established enterprise codebase and optimization of the code therein.
Design, scaffolding and implementation of a new web-based backend architecture to seamlessly integrate with said existing codebase and realization a user-friendly and responsive frontend for it.
