After taking over the project lead, I restructured its organisation to increase the speed and quality of development deliveries as well as to control the costs and deadlines (pilot, go-live). I was mainly in charge of

• the coordination of product owner, 3 external IT companies and internal IT teams, marketing, sales department & back-office teams and the overall planning for the pilot phase and Go-Live.
• the business requirements’ adjustments (user stories & backlog) as well as of the improvement of the IT-architecture.
• the data migration, tests and UAT till go-live.

• IT Architecture and methodologies definition for a start-up specialized in digital marketing for SME.
• Based on planed business ideas, I defined the whole IT architecture for the company’s core activities (infrastructure, hosting, security, API, software landscape) as well as the requirements (users stories and processes) for smartphones, middleware and back-end Apps. Further I took over the definition of the testing strategy and the conception of databases and service layers.
• I advised also the board of directors on business model, business plan and processes’ design as well as regarding the hiring of developers’ teams.

As project leader I was responsible to implement all applications for the front and middleware as well as to:

• coordinate 12 internal and external IT-teams, architects and production teams in Germany and Spain,
• introduce Scrum methodology for several sub-projects and drive the overall project plan (milestones, resources and budget) and the releases’ content and synchronisation,
• lead the test Strategy and UAT as well as the data migration,
• refine User Stories, check the requirements’ coherence between all software and manage the backlogs/sprint.
• Volvo Germany products (insurance, warranty, tyres, taxes) to be managed through a web-based platform. After taking over the project I led it through the full project cycle within the original budget and planning.

running a gap analysis in internal controlling and risk management areas:

• between BaFin (D) and ACPR (F) requirements
• between existing organisations, tools, processes and procedures of Santander Bank and PSA Bank

• Definition, implementation and documentation of all processes and procedures (front,back,accounting intern controlling and reporting) in conformity with BaFin-MaRisk requirements for the Used Car Warranty product in France, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Czech Republic.
• Parallel to the 15 processes & 45 procedures’ analysis and documentation, I identified weaknesses (risk,reliability) or improvement potentials (productivity) for the exiting processes and IT solutions. I managed with the stakeholders 7 action plans as well as quick wins with the IT Team and documented the other as a white paper.

Definition, standardization and roll-out of Used Car Warranty program for the makes Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat in 5 countries. Under the EU-Freedom of Service regulation, Opteven Service provides a full servicing to Volkswagen Versicherung AG: warranty input and management, claims’ management, reporting (sales, risks, C/P, BaFin), taxes in all countries and relation with the French administrations.

My main responsibility was to:

• define and manage the master plan and coordinate the stakeholders and teams of Opteven, VW Versicherung AG Head-Quarter, the different local banks of VWFSAG (Spain, Italy, Sweden, Czech Republic) as well as the external providers (taxes, layers, marketing),
• manage the adaptation of the web-based POS and back-office applications (E2E processes),
• support the recruitment and onboarding of back office teams (native speakers CZ, SP SW, IT), support each market go-live from dealers on-boarding process to the first contracts and claims management.

Replacement of dealership’s POS software, middle office software, scoring & approval (E2E processes for loans, leasing insurances and fleet solution), as well as the Digital Asset Management (DAM) application and all interfaces with internal (SAP, BI) and external software.  

My main responsibilities were:

• to lead the internal project committee (Business,IT), preparation of the Steering Committee, the supervision and coordination of the developments (3 external teams in 5 countries, internal German and French teams),integration,
• to supervise the data migration and UATs, to lead the change management for all departments in accordance to program planning (Scrum / Prince 2).

• In close cooperation with Stakeholders and Board, I analysed all workflows and summarized them into 15 processes maps and 52 procedures as a prevention & recovery plan. By challenging this description of the continuity of operations (IT, call centres, accounting, CRM, claims management) I could generate for each process a risks and mitigation matrix.
• At once we defined and ran action plans to improve current back-office activities and IT department.

• building an insurance branch under EU-Freedom of Service regulation, for Volkswagen Financial Services in relation with Volkswagen Bank France, VWFSAG Germany and French authorities like ACP, Chamber of Commerce, Taxes’ & Fiscal’s authorities.
• Acting as single point of contact between all involved companies, I lead the subsidiary building within 6 months, the definition of a warranty extension product and the selection of a partner for managing the operations and the subsidiary. After the contract closing phase, I coordinated the E2E processes definition and implementation and all IT software enhancements (Portfolio Management, KYC, Claims, risks and reporting).
